In this session we will focus on the different ways inquiry can look in a classroom; from teacher guided inquiry to student-led inquiry. Focusing on the use of ATLs, and Learner Profiles we will dive deeper into the different ways inquiry groups can be formed and supported in a PYP classroom.
Katherine M Patton
Katherine is currently a kindergarten teacher at an International School in Switzerland. Prior to this, she was a Master Coach for Minnesota Reading Corps and Lead Literacy Specialist for PRESS at the University of Minnesota in the United States. Kathy has also been a reading intervention, pre-school, kindergarten and fourth grade teacher in the United States. Kathy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Education, a K-12 Reading License, and is currently working on getting an International EAL Certificate.
